About

The Gospel Album is Gurrumul’s third studio album. It is a uniquely Indigenous approach to gospel music, combining new original hymns and reworkings of the Methodist gospel songs from his home on Elcho Island, Northern Territory. The album was the winner of the Best World Album category at the 2015 ARIA awards, and album includes a duet with fellow Australian singer/songwriter Paul Kelly on the much-loved hymn ‘Amazing Grace’.
